PROFESSIONAL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM (PEP)

The Department of Periodontology and Implantology, RVS Dental College and Hospital, integrated with the Indian Society of Periodontology and Implantology (ISPI) and Indian Dental Association (Coimbatore branch), conducted a Professional Enrichment Program (PEP) on 05 June 2026 at SMT Padmavathy Ammal Memorial Auditorium.
The program aimed to enhance the knowledge and clinical skills of general dental practitioners through evidence-based periodontal and laser dentistry education. The CDE Program is accredited with 6 CDE Points (TNDC No-166/26).
Dr. Vishaka Grover – (Resource faculty,Treasurer ISPI) delivered a lecture on “Perio Perspective in General Dentistry,” while Dr.D.Jayachandran - (Resource Faculty,Professor and Head -Department of Implantology,VMSDC,Salem.) presented “Diode Lasers in Focus: Precision, Healing, and Practical Clinical Mastery.”
A major highlight was the hands-on laser training conducted by Dr. D.Jayachandran with the support of faculty members, postgraduate students of the Department of Periodontology. Participants practiced various periodontal laser procedures using advanced diode laser systems. Certificates were distributed, and the program concluded successfully, promoting continued professional development and improved patient care.
