On 3rd December 2025, the Department of Anatomy, in collaboration with the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, organized an interdisciplinary meeting at the Shri Padmavathy Ammal Memorial Auditorium. The session began with a detailed case scenario and clinical findings.
The session, titled “The Hidden Spike: Silent Cause of Neck and Orofacial Pain,” highlighted that managing neck and orofacial pain in dental practice goes beyond mere diagnosis and requires an in-depth understanding of anatomy and its role in orofacial pain management.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Palaniyappan K. (Department of Anatomy), Mrs. Rajimol V., Senior Lecturer (Department of Anatomy), Dr. Prabhusankar K., Professor and Head, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Dr. Priyadharsana, Reader, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Postgraduate student Dr. Inbamanni N. and interns Nirnaya A., Nivetha S., Sakthiswarubha M., Salini V., and Sameena Yashmin J. B. delivered the presentations.
The session concluded with an engaging discussion, a question-and-answer segment, and a certificate distribution ceremony.
