TOPIC: DECODING CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES IN DENTAL OFFICE
On 29th October 2025, the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology and Department of General Medicine jointly organized an interdisciplinary meeting at Shri Padmavathy Ammal Memorial Auditorium. The session, titled “Decoding Cardiovascular Diseases in the Dental Office,” highlighted that managing cardiovascular conditions in dental practice goes beyond mere diagnosis—it entails understanding the intricate connection between oral health, systemic health, and dental treatment. The program was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Chandarakala S.A. (Head, Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology), Dr. Bharathi (Head, Department of General Medicine), Dr. Lakshminrusimhan D.K.S. (Reader, Oral Medicine & Radiology), and Dr. Sowmiya J. (Senior Lecturer, Oral Medicine & Radiology). Interns Palanikumar, Parvathy P. Kishorekumar, Poojitha, and Poomigaa delivered the presentations. The session concluded with an engaging discussion, a question-and-answer segment, and a certificate distribution ceremony.
