The Department of Periodontology, RVS Dental College & Hospital, organized a lecture, live demo and hands-on program on “Perio-Plastic Surgery - Simplified”on September 24, 2025. The event was held at the SMT Padmavathy Ammal Memorial Auditorium, with the blessings of Dr. K.V. Kuppusamy, Chairman of RVS Group of Institutions, and under the able and dynamic leadership of Dr. Vijay V.K., MDS, Director cum principal of RVS Dental College & Hospital.
The program began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Deepshika Saravanan, Head of the Department of Periodontology and Presidential Address by Dr.VijayV.K., This was followed by the introduction of Resource Faculty, Dr. Joann Pauline George, Professor, Department of Periodontology, Krishnadevaraya College of Dental Sciences and Hospital.
Dr. Joann Pauline George delivered a highly insightful lecture titled “Perio-Plastic Surgery Simplified”, followed by live demo and an engaging hands-on workshop on periodontal plastic surgeries. This workshop was recognized by Tamil Nadu dental council and has been awarded 6 CDE points.
The event provided an excellent platform for faculty and students to gain deeper insights into advanced in periodontal plastic surgery. It was truly a commendable initiative towards promoting and enhancing the knowledge of Periodontology.
