View GalleryOn 23.07.2025, the Departments of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Pharmacology jointly conducted an interdisciplinary meeting at the Shri Padmavathy Ammal Memorial Auditorium, where the postgraduate students and interns presented on “Haematological Considerations in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery: Bleeding Disorders and Anticoagulants.” The program covered haemostasis, relevant laboratory investigations, bleeding disorders, and the pharmacology of antiplatelet and anticoagulant drugs, along with their clinical implications in OMFS. Postgraduates discussed patient management strategies, including dental considerations and bleeding control measures, integrating both surgical and pharmacological perspectives. The session concluded with an interactive discussion, enhancing participants’ practical understanding of safe surgical care for patients with bleeding risks.
